My Friendly Magpies
I call these two magpies Buster & Fleurie. They have lived in my street in Kalamunda for quite a long time, longer than I have. They come and see me most days and I have seen them have babies that have grown and left plus an aunty who disappeared unfortunately. Buster has quite the repertoire and sometimes I'll sit down with him and he goes through the whole thing. He says "'hello love" like a lady (might be me he's doing), does a Kookaburra plus lots of other birds and a wicked Australian accented "hello" as well. There's nothing quite like hanging out with our wildlife. I had to do a fair bit of stalking and lying around on the floor of my top verandah to get the photos for this one.
